December 13, 2010.

Apex Engineering International, LLC (AEI) located in Wichita, Kansas, specializes in turnkey manufacture of fully integrated aircraft structures such as Doors, Nacelles, Fuselage Structures and Flight Control Surfaces.  Supporting AEI’s assembly shop is AEI’s internal NADCAP certified processing: heat treat, chemical milling, fusion & spot welding, metal & composite bonding, NDI and chem. film processing that allow AEI to control the flow, quality and delivery of the entire value chain.

Awarded a Boeing Corporation contract in December of 2009 for USAF E-3 Fan Cowl Assemblies AEI immediately set to the task of planning, tooling, and building the FAI Unit.  AEI’s airframe experienced employees dedicate themselves to ensuring all of our customers receive the highest quality parts possible on schedule.  The results are clear; the first article unit shown in the attached picture was delivered ahead of schedule and on budget. Congratulations to the Boeing/AEI team for a job well-done.  Pictured are just some of the many AEI employees who participated in this project (left to right): Jeff Landreth (AEI CEO & President), Mike Pacacha, Gene Glass, Craig Befort, Randy Campbell, Jaime Bakker, Mac McDonald, Thien Tran, Chris Rusch, and Bill Higinbotham.
